Dr Katja Osswald

Clinical Psychologist (Children and Adults) Dipl Psych, MSc, PhD (Cantab), DClinPsy

Katja is a clinical psychologist and children’s therapist. She has experience working with adults and children, but she specialises in children’s mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, and autism.

Katja works as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the Autism Service at Care Plus Group, Grimsby as well as collaborating with Alder Advice on projects where her experience and expertise adds value for our clients.

Katja has a wide experience working with children, young people and carers with anxiety-based problems and depression, in foster care and following adoption. She normally works in a health setting to support children and young people to manage chronic health conditions (e.g. Crohn’s) and receiving treatment for cancer with developmental difficulties, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Katja also works with adults experiencing anxiety or depression, as well as adjusting to chronic health problems and is experienced in multidisciplinary team working with Speech and Language Therapists, Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists and Mental Health Nursing staff.
