ADASS Eastern Region- Support for Work Age Adults
Published on Tuesday 4th April 2025 by Dan Short
The background to the project is that Directors in the Region:
-
Perceive it is increasingly difficult to do this locally.
-
Need to better understand what drives costs up and the main challenges faced.
-
Want to explore possible reasons for variations across the Region.
-
Would like to identify/capture/share existing effective responses to the drivers/challenges.
Our planned approach over the next 12 to 16 weeks is to:
-
Undertake a comparative analysis of available data to explore drivers, challenges, and practical solutions/responses.
-
Engage with practitioners, commissioners, and providers to facilitate an exchange of learning and of ideas to put the data analysis in context
-
Analysis the data and engagement findings to identify:
–Existing strengths and best practices that can be built on.
–The main issues, drivers, and challenges faced.
–Improvement opportunities for further consideration.
- The Region specifically wants to investigate the 25 highest cost packages of support part or fully funded by each local authority in the region. Packages that are 100% funded by CHC or s117 funding are out of scope.
